President

Elmer C. San Pedro, M.D., is President of Halifax Radiological Associates, Inc., and a board certified radiologist.

Dr. San Pedro joined Halifax Radiology in 2002 after a Radiology Residency and Fellowship training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he has also served as an assistant professor in Nuclear Medicine. He has written a number of scientific articles and has presented in regional, national and international meetings. He was a recipient of a research grant in Brain SPECT Imaging for investigating stroke and has been a chapter contributor in several books in Nuclear Medicine.

His research fellowship was in part supported by an NIH research grant in the investigation of stroke, fibromyalgia, epilepsy, pain, autism and dementia. He has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Nuclear Medicine. Dr. San Pedro was awarded the Roentgen Fellow Research Award by the Radiological Society of North America and a Junior Physician Investigator Award by the American Federation of Medical Research. His main interest is Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.

He is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine by the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine.
